Specification Sales Manager - U.K.

The Specification Sales Manager is responsible for driving awareness among Consultants and Specifiers in The UK for the WINT-Water Intelligence solution. At WINT, this Consultative Sales role is critical to our company’s success.  You will be a key member of our fast-growing sales team and will be tasked with visiting Consulting Engineers and Specifiers across the UK, giving presentations, CPD’s and working on getting out solution into the MEP design of the building prior to tender stage. Building personal relationships and generating leads and new opportunities within the Specifier community and supporting design engineers to apply our product to water-based systems.

The Specification Sales Manager will focus on the U.K market. We are flexible on location and you  work from home or our office in London. The role will directly report to the VP of Sales.

Who We Are

WINT develops IoT hardware and software water-management solutions for the real-estate and industrial sectors.

The devices are installed in buildings – such as the Empire State Building and on construction sites. The system monitors usage patterns and uses Machine Learning, signal processing and statistical analysis techniques to detect anomalies and prevent leaks by shutting off water. Our customer prevents massive damage to facilities – which could reach millions of dollars per incident and save 20%-25% of their ongoing water consumption.

The Opportunity

We are growing and looking for a talented Specification Sales Manager to drive WINT solution specification into new projects, specifically focused on new construction, renovation, and retrofit markets. Working directly with consulting engineers, we are looking for the right talent, experience, and proven track record in driving our solution to be specified in new construction projects.  As the right candidate, you will leverage your lead generation experience to generate meetings with consulting engineers via phone, emails, and Linkedin to develop interest in WINT’s high-tech water management solution. You’ll also build engineer facing collateral like specification creation resources and templates, technical reference materials, spec sheets, all while assisting in the design of other needed resources for the MEP community (videos, website needs, etc.).

What You’ll Do:

  • Articulate the company’s product/service and benefits to Consulting Engineers and Specifiers. “translate” the technical solution into business terms and values
  • Assist consulting engineers with their selection and application of water leak damage prevention and water management products
  • Conduct product seminars and “lunch and learns” on a weekly basis
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, customer success, and product management to effectively communicate client and internal product feedback/enhancements
  • Keep up to date with competition in the market and be able to verbalise the difference between competition and the WINT solution
  • Generate leads and opportunities to the sales team
  • Build engineer facing collateral like specification creation resources and templates, technical reference materials, spec sheets while assisting in the design of product needs such as videos, website, etc.
  • Handle the technical submittal process from specification to order. Working with our Sales and Project Delivery teams. You will be in charge of delivering technical submittals to the Design Engineers and Clients.

Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering – mechanical, civil, or HVAC
  • At least 3 years of experience working at or with Consulting Engineers and Specifiers
  • Understanding of the design and application of building systems water management, domestic/potable cold water, potable hot water, HVAC, and cooling towers
  • Experience either selling to plumbing or mechanical engineers – or being one yourself
  • Knowledge of the building delivery process
  • AutoCAD and Revit MEP and BIM experience preferred. Though not essential
  • Fast learner and adaptive to a dynamic and changing work environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
