Sales Engineer – U.S. Based

Disrupting the water industry, WINT detects and stops leaks at the source using Artificial Intelligence.  Providing a simple and innovative cloud-based solution for commercial buildings and construction sites, WINT alerts when water is leaking and automatically shuts it off. Intelligent real-time monitoring identifies sources of leaks and waste, reducing water consumption and preventing damage. 

The Opportunity

We are growing and looking for a Sales Engineer to enable WINT’s expanded footprint in the U.S.  You will collaborate with and fully support the sales team through pre-sale, providing outstanding customer presentations helping to clearly articulate the value of the technical solution in business terms.  During post-sale implementation you will support the delivery in remaining the technical go-to-expert. You’ll be an SME (Subject Matter Expert) responsible for understanding customer requirements, providing design advice, helping craft proposals for the sales organization, and explaining the technical and functional aspects of the solution to the prospect or customer.  Your customer facing skills are of utmost importance but so too is your attention to detail.

This role will be based in the US but flexible on location and will work remotely (from home office or co-working i.e. WeWork). East Coast or South/Southeast strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a WINT Subject Matter Expert
  • Evaluate and design solution requirements: producing designs, both initial outlines and full plans of smart water meters, valves and other IoT equipment
  • Execute in-person site-surveys as needed, writing reports on findings and help sales team present recommended solution
  • Drafts or assists with the drafting of documentation or materials that explain product and service to customers
  • Articulate the company’s product/service and benefits to potential clients; “translate” the technical solution into business terms and value
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, customer success, and product management to effectively communicate client and internal product feedback/enhancements
  • Keep up to date with competition in the market and be able to verbalize the difference between competition and the WINT solution
  • Provide advanced training and support for the sales team
  • Provide technical support of hardware to customers; identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets according to sales plan

Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or significant hands-on plumbing experience
  • At least three years of relevant experience in designing and creating plans and specifications for commercial building systems (plumbing and/or HVAC preferred)
  • Two years’ experience as sales engineer or other customer facing technical roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills exhibited with internal/external clients
  • Comfort and ability to present and/or co-present effectively via phone, video (i.e. Microsoft TEAMS)
  • Fast learner and adaptive to a dynamic and changing work environment
  • Motivated, driven and results oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%).
