Commercial Account Executive

The Commercial Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new customers and reports directly to the Vice President of Sales. This role is responsible for acquiring new customers in the Continental US (secondarily Canada), reporting directly to the Vice President of Sales.  The role is remote but desired to be based on the East Coast (New York City, DC, Atlanta, etc). 

Who We Are

Disrupting the water industry, WINT detects and stops leaks at the source using Artificial Intelligence.  Providing a simple and innovative cloud-based solution for commercial buildings and construction sites, WINT alerts when water is leaking and automatically shuts it off. Intelligent real-time monitoring identifies sources of leaks and waste, reducing water consumption and preventing damage. 

The Opportunity

We are growing and looking for a very talented sales executive! The Commercial Account Executive will be responsible for the acquisition of new owner/operational commercial accounts on the East Coast, self-generating cold and warm leads and exploring/qualifying opportunities from company and SDR provided leads.  If you are the successful candidate for this position, you excel at creating and closing new and upsell opportunities by using a consultative approach to selling, preferably in a facilities, property management, or sustainability led B2B environment. After closing the deal, you’ll retain the account and work with the Customer Success team to renew and upsell.  You’ll also grow your book of business by engaging with existing channel partners to expand referral business.  You are a strategic, experienced sales professional with the experience and proven track record in solution selling across the full sales cycle, with the ability to connect and present to C-level and down. Most often, you will sell directly to a VP and Director level and influence users throughout the prospect organization.

Your sales skills are of course essential, but so too is your attention to detail – from forecasting to written communication; from your Salesforce.com records to customer facing presentations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute sales strategy as set by VP Sales
  • Prospect, qualify and generate new business within assigned territory and/or assigned target accounts
  • Prospect new commercial business opportunities from pool of inbound and self-generated leads (from qualifying to negotiating and closing)
  • Articulate the company’s product/service and benefits to potential clients
  • Work both inbound and outbound leads to generate a robust pipeline of large-size businesses
  • Present WINT solutions via webinars and video calls to potential clients w/ travel as needed
  • Maintain and expand prospects within your assigned territory
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and technology departments; participate in feedback sessions with R&D and articulate market feedback to leadership
  • Participate in relevant events on behalf of WINT, including trade associations and virtual or in-person conferences
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets according to sales plan

Preferred Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Minimum 7-10+ years of B2B direct sales experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, or other equivalent degree
  • Proven track record of over-achieving sales goals
  • Ability to understand new products and technology with the ability to articulate their value
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills exhibited with internal and external clients
  • Motivated, driven and results oriented
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple high priority projects simultaneously and successfully
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM (Salesforce)

Great to Haves:

  • Experience in small start-up environments
  • Proficiency in use of sales automation tool i.e. Outreach, Salesloft
