Hardware design engineer
We are seeking a hardware design engineer to design and develop components for our leak detection devices. As a hardware design engineer, you will be required to develop and update the architecture for new and existing hardware components, ensure compatibility and integration with the software, and diagnose and resolve component bugs and malfunctions.
To be a successful hardware design engineer, you should be analytically minded and have detailed knowledge of the latest technology in computer hardware. A top-notch hardware design engineer should be able to easily diagnose design flaws and interpret technical performance data.
- Meeting with design and engineering teams to determine hardware requirements.
- Designing, documenting, and developing analog and digital components using Cadence and Altium. This includes working with sensors, valves, communication components, electrical engines, and controllers.
- Collaborating with software engineers to ensure software compatibility and integration with the hardware components.
- End-to-end testing of hardware prototypes, possibly automatically and analyzing and interpreting performance data.
- Generating analytic and performance reports for presentation and revision.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing errors and suggesting suitable repairs or modifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 3+ years’ experience as a hardware design engineer.
- Experience in end-to-end integration and working with lab equipment.
- Proficiency in Cadence and Altium.
- Knowledge in Analog/digital integrated circuits, DAC and ADC.
- Knowledge in RF and micro-controllers.
- Good understanding of software languages (C, python), operating systems (Linux, RTOS) and integration processes – advantage
- Working with external contractors – advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to stay up to date with the latest advancements in technology and design.
